a few weeks ago i had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful ditter family. the coolest part of this shoot was that the ditters were keeping it as a surprise gift for dad mike leading up to father's day :) the love between this family is immediately evident and we had a great time! thanks for letting me hang out with you guys for the afternoon - hope that mike and all the dads out there had a wonderful father's day!
at the end of april, my entire family travelled to poland for my cousin's wedding. if you've never been to a true polish wedding, i would recommend attending at least one in your lifetime, somehow or some way :) monika and zbyszek were married on saturday april 28th. the festivities lasted into the early hours of the morning with food, drinks and music all night long. the next day, we all partook in "poprawiny", which, literally translated, means "do-over" or "fix". the tradition is just that, a do-over where the bride and groom, family and other guests all meet in the afternoon for a round two celebration lasting into the evening. though it wasn't an official shoot, the photos here are a selection from both days. of all my trips to poland, this was by far one whose memories i will carry in my heart for many years to come. congratulations monika and zbyszek!
i'm so excited about this blog post! i recently traveled to poland for a family wedding. we had such a great time and i am still sorting through the thousands of photos i managed to take on my trip. about a week before the wedding i took the beautiful couple out for an engagement session. i have to say, this was one of my favorites, for many reasons! congratulations monika and zbyszek, i had so much fun and wish you both all of the happiness in the world! gratulacje kochani!! :)
victoria and j.d. were married in april at river farm in alexandria, va. you probably remember them from their fall engagement shoot in eastern market. this wedding was so much fun with a diverse group of family and friends there to celebrate the special day! the day had a little bit of spanish flair and southern charm to reflect two great families from separate corners of the world coming together. thanks so much for having me as your photographer!
i had such a fun engagement shoot with kasey and abraham! they are an awesome couple! both originally from ethiopia, kasey is in med school studying pediatrics and abraham is a chemical engineer. we started out in dupont circle at one of their favorite weekend haunts, a great used bookstore - books for america. i had never been here before, but it was a great find! the staff was awesome and i love the cause :) after spending a bit of time browsing in the bookstore, we went for a stroll from dupont into georgetown, another of their favorite dc locales. thanks for letting me hang out with you guys for the day - congratulations and happy planning!
