I was so excited to recently have the opportunity to photograph the wedding of two dear friends. My hubby and I headed to Brooklyn for a weekend for a wedding to remember, and it was truly unlike any other! The Scots took over Brooklyn and after a torrential downpour the sun came out just in time for a beautiful celebration. Thank you so very much for having me document this incredible day in your lives and congratulations to the newlyweds!

best of 2013 | part 1

It's been an incredible year photographing new clients and old - to each and every one of you, thank you so very much for inviting me in to capture your story. You make living out my dream every day possible and for that I am so incredibly grateful. Here's a selection of some of my favorite client images of 2013- keep your eyes peeled for part 2 featuring my personal favorites! Wishing you all a holiday season filled with peace and joy from my family to yours.

I am so excited to blog this session for so many reasons. A couple of months ago I set out with my sister and her husband to capture some shots of the two of them. This session, to me, is a photographer's dream where everything comes together perfectly - the weather, the light, the location. Add to that that the people are so dear to my heart (and I was able to boss them around very freely!) and it amounts to my favorite session to date. These two are evidence that the photos you capture after your wedding can be just as special as those on your big day! Thank you, thank you.

Poland-2012-7182.jpg

at the end of april, my entire family travelled to poland for my cousin's wedding. if you've never been to a true polish wedding, i would recommend attending at least one in your lifetime, somehow or some way :) monika and zbyszek were married on saturday april 28th. the festivities lasted into the early hours of the morning with food, drinks and music all night long. the next day, we all partook in "poprawiny", which, literally translated, means "do-over" or "fix". the tradition is just that, a do-over where the bride and groom, family and other guests all meet in the afternoon for a round two celebration lasting into the evening. though it wasn't an official shoot, the photos here are a selection from both days. of all my trips to poland, this was by far one whose memories i will carry in my heart for many years to come. congratulations monika and zbyszek!
