I had such a wonderful time spending an afternoon with sweet baby Henry and his parents. This is one of those "stop you in your tracks" beautiful families - I had so many favorites and I had such a hard time narrowing down the photos for this post, so get ready for a major overshare! Thanks so much for inviting me into your home to capture these sweet memories.

I am so glad I took on this personal project this year. Though there are days when I feel completely lacking in creativity and throwing in the towel, there are so many more days where I am grateful for the moments it has enabled me to capture in our daughter's first year and the strides that I've made in my career. Here's a selection of my favorites from the past three months, we are settling into Fall and I am officially in the home stretch! :)
One of the reasons I love lifestyle photography is because it captures honest, everyday moments and connections between people. Many years down the road, these simple moments are the ones you will look back on and remember the most fondly . Last month I got to meet this cute little guy for his in home newborn session. The love between this sweet new family is undeniable, thank you for allowing me to capture such a special time in your lives!
I am so excited to share a unique session with you, and i think some of you local to the area may recognize this pretty great venue! Dad is a ball player for the Washington Nationals so this family wanted to spend the afternoon at Nationals Park, a location special to them. They wanted a casual lifestyle session where the kids were able to let loose and spend a day at the office with Dad - pretty cool! I had a great time photographing such a beautiful family, thanks for allowing me to capture these memories for you!
I love everything about this mommy and son duo! The love between them is undeniable and Rahan is quite possibly the cutest 2 year old I have ever seen. :) I had so much fun at this session. Zakiyyah wanted to do something with a "citylike" feel to it, so we spent the evening taking a stroll in Georgetown. I just love this gallery!
